The Grimaldi Forum Monaco has been crowned the world’s best in its field, taking home the Gold Award for Best International Congress Center at the prestigious M&IT Awards 2025 in London. Organized by M&IT Magazine , a leading UK publication for business tourism, the accolade highlights the Principality’s flagship venue as a benchmark in hosting and organizing global events.

The win comes at a milestone moment, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the Grimaldi Forum and the inauguration of its major new extension, which further strengthens Monaco’s role on the international events stage.

Competition was fierce, with Barcelona’s CCIB earning Silver and PortAventura’s Congress Center taking Bronze, while other heavyweights such as Dublin and Amsterdam were also shortlisted. The Monaco venue last won Gold in 2011, making this year’s triumph a return to the top. It is the 20th M&IT Award in the Forum’s history, including nine Golds since 2003.

The victory reflects more than just one venue’s success. The Monaco Convention Bureau also collected Gold in its own category, while local DMC agency Raising Stones Events secured Silver, underlining the Principality’s collective strength in business tourism.

With more than 45% of its clients returning year after year, the Grimaldi Forum has built a reputation for excellence, innovation, and sustainability. Over the past 25 years, it has accumulated 27 major awards, from recognition for eco-responsibility and energy transition to international congress industry honors.

For Monaco, the latest achievement reinforces a forward-looking vision: to combine top-tier event hosting with a firm commitment to sustainability, ensuring the Principality remains one of the world’s most attractive destinations for conferences and congresses.
