The Monaco Economic Board (MEB) reinforced the Principality’s role on the international stage by taking part in the 14th World Chambers Congress, held from September 2 to 4 in Melbourne, Australia…
Led by CEO Guillaume Rose, the MEB used this global gathering to extend Monaco’s network and explore new business opportunities.
The congress, organised by the International Chamber of Commerce, brought together over 1,200 participants from more than 100 countries, including business leaders, policymakers, and representatives of Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Through conferences, workshops, and keynote sessions, participants exchanged ideas on major issues such as the ecological transition, artificial intelligence, and the growing influence of SMEs in shaping the global economy.
For Guillaume Rose, the congress provided a valuable opportunity for bilateral discussions with counterparts from key countries. These included representatives from the Chambers of Commerce of Serbia, Latvia, Qatar, Nigeria, Bahrain, Canada, and Saudi Arabia. Such meetings allowed the MEB to strengthen existing ties while identifying new areas of cooperation for Monegasque companies abroad.
“This congress was a unique chance to strengthen our network, spot new opportunities, and prepare ambitious economic missions for the future,” Rose said. “The MEB is ready to support Monegasque companies in their international growth, relying on strong and innovative partnerships.”
The visit also included a meeting with Andrew Cannon, Honorary Consul of Monaco in Melbourne, and his collaborator Leanne Steinfort, who actively promote Monaco and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation within Australia’s economic and political circles.
