Since 1920, the Piédon Circus has carried on the tradition of live performance in the purest family spirit…

Passed down through several generations, this intimate and charming circus made its return to Monaco this summer, with its colourful tent pitched at Fontvieille until August 13. The show—Le Grand Voyage de Marie-Loup et ses Jouets—is a poetic blend of acrobatics, clowning, and storytelling, captivating audiences young and old.

At the heart of the story is Marie-Loup, a real-life daughter of the circus, who embarks on a whimsical quest to find her lost teddy bear in a world where toys come to life. Inspired by a true family moment—her daughter once really lost her comfort toy backstage—the story unfolds with humour and emotion. The circus tent, her daily playground, is transformed each night into a stage of magic and wonder.

Accompanied by mischievous clowns, graceful jugglers, and a dreamy set design, the hour-long performance is a tribute to childhood memories and family bonds. The result is a warm, human-scale spectacle delivered with authenticity and love.

Performing just a stone’s throw from Monaco’s world-famous International Circus Festival venue, the Piédon family says it’s a dream come true. “To pitch our little tent beside one of the greatest circuses in the world—it’s an honour,” they said.

Shows take place daily at 18:30 until August 13, with ticket prices between €10 and €20. A heartwarming summer treat for all the family.
