Société des Bains de Mer (S.B.M.), the iconic Monaco-based hospitality and gaming group, has posted a robust start to the financial year, with total revenue for the first quarter climbing by 12 per cent compared to the same period in 2024.
The group, which oversees some of the Principality’s most prestigious establishments, saw its consolidated turnover reach €244 million – up from €218.4 million – marking a €25.5 million boost. The sharp rise was driven by across-the-board growth in all sectors of its portfolio.
In the gaming division, revenue rose to €50.6 million from €47 million a year earlier, thanks to a higher volume of table games played. While some early-year results were tempered by what the group referred to as “unfavourable risk,” the overall performance remained strong.
Hotels, meanwhile, delivered a record-breaking quarter, pulling in €148.9 million in revenue—a leap of €18.6 million year-on-year. The milestone highlights growing demand for Monaco’s luxury tourism offerings, particularly in high season.
The group, which includes the Casino de Monte-Carlo, Hôtel de Paris, and other premier venues, continues to benefit from a resurgence in global travel and the enduring appeal of its high-end experiences.
