His Serene Highness Prince Albert II inaugurated the new Espace Honoré II on July 23rd, unveiling the commemorative plaque in a formal ceremony attended by senior officials and civil servants…
The event began with a blessing by Archbishop Dominique-Marie David and brought together around 500 members of Monaco’s public administration, marking the official launch of a key new hub for state services.
Located in the heart of the Principality, Espace Honoré II now centralises nine government departments under one roof, streamlining operations and improving public access. Among the key offices now housed in the new space are the Directorate of Urban Planning and Mobility Foresight, the Directorate of Social Action and Support, the Public Parking Services, and the Directorate of Legal and Administrative Business. Each of these services plays a critical role in Monaco’s day-to-day governance, from city planning to social support and regulatory oversight.
Following the inauguration, HSH Prince Albert II, accompanied by Minister of State Christophe Mirmand, toured several departments and met with staff. The visit underscored the Sovereign’s ongoing commitment to modernising Monaco’s public administration while maintaining the accessibility and efficiency of state services for residents and businesses alike.
The Espace Honoré II project reflects Monaco’s broader ambitions for sustainability, digital transformation, and improved service delivery; bringing together public functions in a modern, centralised location that will serve the needs of the Principality well into the future.
