Monaco’s waterfront has officially entered summer mode. Under sunny skies on the afternoon of Friday, July 18, Axelle Amalberti-Verdino, Deputy Mayor in charge of events and leisure, launched this year’s edition of L’Été au Port Hercule, flanked by fellow Deputy Mayors Marjorie Crovetto and Karyn Ardisson Salopek, along with Communal Councillor Nathalie Vaccarezza.

Each summer, the Quai Albert I transforms into a seaside wonderland, and 2025 is no exception. Locals and visitors can expect a lively lineup of family-friendly attractions running until Thursday, August 24, with something for every age and appetite. From nostalgic carousels and mini-boat rides to go-kart circuits for both kids and grown-ups, the fun doesn’t stop there — trampolines, basketball courts, duck fishing games, ninja obstacle courses and even temporary tattoo stands are all part of the mix.

Adding an artistic touch to this year’s programme, a special partnership with the Grimaldi Forum — currently hosting Couleurs! Chefs-d’œuvre du Centre Pompidou — means free creative workshops for children will be held throughout the summer in a dedicated chalet space.

Daily schedules vary slightly: food stands open by 11:30 and can run until as late as midnight, while rides and games are typically available from 16:00 to 22:30, with flexibility on either end depending on the day.

Two festive evenings will see the waterfront come alive well into the night. On Saturday, July 26, and again on Saturday, August 9, businesses along the port will stay open until midnight, with inflatable castles for the kids, fireworks lighting up the sky (at 22:30 and 22:00 respectively), and live DJ and pop-rock music setting the summer vibe.
