Paris-based BOKETTO Galerie is opening a four-month pop-up in Monaco’s new Mareterra district, starting July 18, 2025…
Conceived in collaboration with MARK, the temporary gallery will present an elegant fusion of mid-century design and contemporary art, set within the architectural rawness of Mareterra — the Renzo Piano-designed extension of the Principality.
Known for its expertly restored pieces by masters such as Michel Ducaroy, Mario Bellini, and Tobia Scarpa, BOKETTO has become a destination for collectors seeking historically significant furniture that also fits modern interiors. Among the highlights in Monaco will be a mint condition set of Africa chairs — a rare and sought-after design classic.
“More than historical objects, these are living designs,” the gallery notes, “crafted to endure, evolve, and feel at home in any era.”
The Monaco space also marks the debut of BOKETTO’s contemporary art programme with How Long Ago?, an exhibition of new work by Paris-based artist Angelika Markul. Known for her textured surfaces and fragmented compositions, Markul’s art explores memory, impermanence, and material transformation.
Throughout the summer, BOKETTO Monaco will host private viewings, collector gatherings, and collaborative exhibitions with Warsaw-based gallery LETO, establishing an intimate new hub for Monaco’s design and art community.
