AS Monaco has unveiled their away kit for the 2025-2026 season, a bold new design paying tribute to the enduring cultural connections between the Principality and Japan. The inspiration? Monaco’s own Japanese Garden—an emblem of harmony, precision, and serenity nestled along the Mediterranean coast.

This new jersey blends Monegasque elegance with Japanese tradition. Its striking blue tone is a nod to Japan’s national football team—the “Blue Samurai”—symbolising honour, resilience, and discipline. Subtle circular and linear motifs across the chest echo the raked gravel patterns of Zen gardens, drawing directly from the meticulous aesthetic found in Monaco’s Japanese Garden.

Gold detailing along the sleeves, collar and crest adds a regal touch never before seen in the club’s kit history. Both the AS Monaco badge and Mizuno’s Runbird logo are trimmed in gold, with the club’s rallying cry “Daghe Munegu” printed on the back of the neck.

Environmentally friendly too, the shirt is crafted from 100% recycled polyester, underlining Mizuno’s commitment to sustainability.

While the Japanese Garden served as design muse, the kit itself was revealed in a sleek campaign embracing the Japanese concept of “MA”—the art of balance and space. Monaco players brought the look to life in a photo and video shoot that channels that minimalist ethos.

The Red & Whites will wear the new strip for the first time on Saturday, July 19 in their pre-season match against Nottingham Forest at the SMH Group Stadium in Chesterfield.

Fans can now find the 2025-2026 away kit at AS Monaco’s official store at Les Jardins d’Apolline, or online via the club’s e-shop.
