As the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) prepares to drop anchor this September, organisers have announced the return of the Monaco Yacht Summit — a high-level forum dedicated to exploring the trends, challenges, and shifting values reshaping the superyacht industry.
Running alongside the show from September 24 to 27, the Summit will convene a diverse group of stakeholders — from naval architects and designers to yacht owners, buyers and environmental specialists — for a series of curated conferences, panel discussions and events that aim to go beyond glamour and delve into the serious questions facing the sector.
The Summit is conceived as an open platform for dialogue, offering what organisers describe as a clear and structured opportunity to link client expectations with market realities and wider societal concerns, especially the mounting pressure for greater sustainability in the industry. Among this year’s highlights is the opening conference on September 24, which will focus on innovations and practical measures that are helping make yachting more environmentally responsible. A series of thematic panels, hosted in partnership with SuperYacht Times, will tackle topics ranging from cutting-edge design to long-term ecological challenges. Also scheduled for the first day is a special screening of Ocean, the David Attenborough-narrated documentary exploring the beauty and fragility of the seas, followed by remarks from the film’s director Toby Nowlan.
Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of the MYS, said the Summit aims to bridge the gap between luxury and responsibility by connecting the dots between client ambitions, technological innovation, and broader environmental and social trends. “The yachting sector is undergoing a fundamental transformation,” she said. “The Monaco Yacht Summit is here to help navigate it.”
This year’s full programme will be announced in August, but the direction of travel is already clear. With access open to all accredited Monaco Yacht Show attendees, the Summit continues to establish itself as a vital space for serious industry reflection — with a distinctly Mediterranean view.
