The curtain is ready to rise once again at one of Monaco’s most atmospheric venues, as the Directorate of Cultural Affairs officially unveiled the summer 2025 season of the Théâtre du Fort Antoine. In the company of Françoise Gamerdinger, Director of Cultural Affairs, along with Deputy Director Julien Burle and music programming lead Gilles Marsan, the lineup promises a rich blend of live performance set against the backdrop of the iconic open-air fortress.

Running from 1st to 29th July, this year’s programme weaves together music and theatre in a series of eclectic and evocative performances designed to make the most of Fort Antoine’s singular setting. On the musical front, audiences can expect a curated quartet of concerts spanning genres and continents. Jazz vocalist Stella Cole will pair with pianist Thomas Enhco for an evening of refined rhythm, while Jean-Charles Papi brings the soul of Corsica to the stage. Fans of funk and blues can look forward to Sanseverino’s high-energy set, tinged with African influence.

Theatre lovers aren’t left out either. Jessica Astier and William Mesguich will bring Carole Martinez’s haunting novel Du Domaine des Murmures to life in a dramatic new adaptation. A standout first for the venue, this year’s programme also includes a piece aimed specifically at young audiences: Jamais Dormir, which ventures into the mysterious world of children’s dreams and shadows.

Adding further depth to the season is a literary evening featuring renowned actor Charles Berling, who will read passages from La Carrière d’un Navigateur, the maritime memoirs of Prince Albert I — a tribute to Monaco’s deep-rooted connection with the sea and exploration.

Rounding off the month is the return of the “Scène Ouverte”, now in its third edition, giving young performers aged 18 to 30 a chance to take the spotlight in music and dance. This platform has become a favourite for spotting emerging talent — a place where Monaco’s future stars make their first mark.
