The 64th Monte-Carlo Television Festival came to a glittering close on June 17th with a blue carpet finale that brought international stars, local pride and heartfelt emotion to the Grimaldi Forum…

As tradition dictates, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene were last to walk the signature blue carpet, joining a packed audience for the prestigious Golden Nymph Awards ceremony that rounded off five days of television glamour in the Principality.

From Robin Wright receiving a Crystal Nymph for her lifetime achievements to emotional tributes in the documentary category, the awards celebrated both star power and storytelling with purpose. The special AMADE Prize, supported by the association founded by Princess Grace, went to Children in the Fire; a powerful documentary about Ukrainian children wounded by war. Meanwhile, the Digital Prize marked a modern twist, going to French YouTuber Squeezie, whose humorous pre-recorded speech charmed the crowd.

Judit Light chaired the fiction jury, which awarded On a Day in September and its leading actress Hélène Alexandridis. The public award went to the cast and creators of The Bombing of Pan Am 103, underscoring the festival’s international scope.

Beyond the trophies, the blue carpet was the beating heart of the event. Local residents mingled with global stars, and Monaco’s own role in the world of entertainment was front and centre. “I’m proud to live here,” said one local guest, “and to see such talent celebrated in our own backyard.”

As the curtains closed on this year’s edition, organisers were already looking ahead to the 65th anniversary next year—a milestone that promises to be even more spectacular. But for now, Monte-Carlo can reflect on another successful festival that blended prestige, passion and plenty of petits fours.
