In the spirit of reuse and environmental responsibility, the Monaco Médiathèque is preparing to donate a large selection of furniture to local Monegasque associations ahead of its relocation to Ilot Pasteur later this year.
From Monday, June 2 to Friday, June 13, eligible associations will have the chance to reserve items from the library’s current stock of furniture, which includes a wide range of pieces. A detailed list — complete with descriptions, dimensions, and photos — is available for viewing at the bottom of the announcement.
To claim items, interested associations must contact the Médiathèque between June 2 and 13 by phone at +377 93 15 29 40 or via email at mediatheque@mairie.mc. Once reserved, the associations will be responsible for collecting their chosen pieces using their own transport, when notified by the Médiathèque — with collections scheduled for late September through mid-October 2025.
The initiative, timed to coincide with Environment Day, underlines the Municipality’s ongoing commitment to the circular economy. By giving this furniture a second life, the programme helps reduce waste and promotes more sustainable community practices.
