For the 14th consecutive year, the association Monaco Liver Disorder (MLD) brought a moment of joy to young patients suffering from serious liver diseases by inviting them to experience the excitement of the Monaco Grand Prix…

Thanks to enduring partnerships and a shared commitment to children’s well-being, around thirty children were welcomed on Friday 23rd May to watch the Formula 1 practice sessions from a privileged terrace overlooking Quai Albert Ier.

Their day was made even more special by the presence of Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène, who took the time to greet the children personally, sharing moments of kindness, smiles, and emotion.

Founded in 2011 by Carla Fadoul Shechter, the MLD association is dedicated to raising awareness of rare paediatric liver diseases such as biliary atresia, and to promoting organ donation. Beyond its advocacy work, MLD provides comprehensive support to affected families, helping them navigate the challenges of hospital stays with logistical, emotional, and practical assistance.

Each year, this initiative during the Grand Prix offers not just an unforgettable experience, but a much-needed respite for children and families facing immense challenges. It is a gesture of compassion that embodies Monaco’s generous spirit.
