George Russell has officially added the ultra-rare Mercedes-AMG ONE to his personal garage, taking delivery of the 2.5 million euro hypercar in Monaco before embarking on a sleek photoshoot in the hills above.
The Mercedes-AMG F1 driver shared his excitement on social media on Tuesday, posting photos of himself posing beside the cutting-edge machine with the caption: “MY DREAM CAR!!!”
“So honoured to own this car and it’s been a dream of mine ever since I joined Mercedes F1 back in 2017!! Crazy that the engine is a modified version from our 2015 F1 car – the first ever Mercedes F1 car I drove. What a beast!!!”
With just 275 units produced globally, the AMG ONE is as exclusive as it is powerful, featuring a 1.6-litre V6 turbo hybrid power unit lifted directly from the world championship-winning Mercedes F1 programme. It’s a road-legal embodiment of Grand Prix tech, boasting over 1,000 horsepower and a top speed north of 350 km/h.
Russell now joins a select group of high-profile owners, including Lewis Hamilton – who reportedly bought two of them, gifting one to his father Anthony – as well as fellow Mercedes alumni Nico Rosberg, David Coulthard, and Valtteri Bottas.
The AMG ONE is just the latest jewel in Russell’s all-Mercedes collection, which also includes a vintage 1970 280 SL, an AMG G63, an AMG C63S, an SL63, and a GT S Coupé. But none come close to the tech-packed beast he now calls his “dream car”.
