The Principality of Monaco officially inaugurated its national pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, offering visitors an immersive journey themed “Take Care of Wonder.”

This global showcase marks six months of cultural dialogue, environmental commitment, and international visibility for Monaco.

Designed as a sensory and interactive experience, the Monaco Pavilion reflects the Principality’s dedication to sustainability, innovation, and beauty—values anchored in the words of Jacques-Yves Cousteau:

“We love what has amazed us, and we protect what we love.”

From the first ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:35 a.m. to the official opening by Commissioner Mireille Martini, the day was rich in symbolism and forward-looking ambition.

Monaco’s Ambassador to Japan, H.E. Didier Gamerdinger, was present to underline the strong diplomatic ties between Monaco and Japan. Throughout the day, the Pavilion received international media, including Japan’s ABC TV, Monaco Info, and TV Monaco, which will chronicle the pavilion’s journey and the young Monegasque team living in Osaka.

The Pavilion features a multisensory garden with six thematic stations, artistic installations, and spaces dedicated to Monaco’s environmental efforts—including marine protection supported by the Princess Charlene Foundation. Visitors can also enjoy an exclusive wine-tasting lounge celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Hôtel de Paris cellars.

Through its powerful storytelling, poetic haikus, and hands-on interactivity, the Monaco Pavilion embodies the Principality’s mission to inspire collective responsibility and awe. It is not only a celebration of Monaco’s unique heritage but also a meaningful contribution to the Expo’s theme of “Designing Future Society.”

From now until October 13, Monaco invites the world to discover its wonder—one step, one sense, and one story at a time.
