Flavio Briatore, renowned entrepreneur and motorsport figure, was officially appointed as Monaco’s Goodwill Ambassador 2025 during a prestigious ceremony held on April 4th in the Empire Room of the Hôtel de Paris…

The title recognises individuals who contribute meaningfully to the Principality’s international reputation and positive influence.

The evening, held in the presence of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, brought together members of the Monaco Ambassador Club, sponsors, and notable guests for a celebration of Briatore’s longstanding commitment to Monaco. A resident and businessman deeply involved in the Principality’s life, Briatore has recently taken the helm of the Alpine Formula 1 team with ambitions to return it to championship contention by 2026.

Visibly moved by the honour, Briatore expressed heartfelt thanks to the Sovereign and the Ambassador Club. “To be recognised for doing something good for the country is an extraordinary and emotional thing,” he said. “I’m grateful and proud.”

The evening also had a philanthropic purpose, raising funds for Frankie’s Children, a charity supporting vulnerable children in both Monaco and France. A luxury auction featuring exclusive items, including Briatore’s own “couture chocolate” creations made in Monaco, helped support the initiative.

In a gesture toward future leadership, the Ambassador Club announced the launch of the Young Ambassador Club, targeting residents aged 16 to 30 to promote civic engagement and ensure Monaco’s values continue to thrive across generations.

Briatore succeeds Italian singer Umberto Tozzi, who held the Goodwill Ambassador title in 2024, marking another chapter in Monaco’s tradition of celebrating individuals who embody excellence, influence, and a spirit of giving.
