In preparation for the summer season, Larvotto Beach will undergo general re-profiling works from Sunday, March 31 at 00:00 to Thursday, April 18 to restore its optimal shape after winter erosion. The project aims to reduce the steep slope that has developed over recent months, ensuring a safer and more accessible shoreline for visitors.

The land-based intervention will involve levelling the gravel mound to improve the beach’s capacity and facilitate secure access to swimming areas. To protect marine biodiversity, retention nets—each spanning 120 metres—will be installed offshore to prevent sediment from affecting the adjacent marine reserve.

For safety reasons, swimming will be prohibited throughout the duration of the works. This restriction will extend until Tuesday, April 30 in areas where additional reinforcement measures are being carried out on the central groyne and the eastern part of the cove.

Despite the works, the beach will remain accessible in sections, depending on project progress. Work hours are scheduled from 07:30 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:30. Restaurants and shops within the complex will remain open without any restrictions.

Throughout the summer, regular maintenance will be conducted to preserve the beach’s width and gentle slope without causing further closures or disruptions for visitors.
