Monaco’s tourism sector is riding high after being named Best European Destination, and the Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority (DTC) has outlined an ambitious strategy for 2025 to capitalize on this success…
During a recent presentation, DTC Director Guy Antognelli reflected on Monaco’s strong 2024 performance, which saw an increase in hotel occupancy rates and average spending, reinforcing the Principality’s status as a luxury travel hotspot. Looking ahead, the DTC plans to focus on four key areas: strengthening its presence in high-value markets like the United States and the Middle East, boosting business tourism, expanding winter and spring visitor numbers, and increasing outreach in long-haul markets, particularly Asia.
A major highlight for 2025 will be Monaco’s participation in the Osaka-Kansai World Expo, providing a platform to promote the Principality to Asian travellers. With a dedicated promotional office in Japan, Monaco is set to leverage this global event to attract a new wave of visitors.
While long-haul markets are a priority, Monaco remains committed to its core visitor base, with France, the UK, and Italy consistently ranking among its top five markets. Promotional efforts in these regions will continue year-round, ensuring sustained engagement.
Central to Monaco’s tourism appeal is its blend of heritage and reinvention. The transformation of Mareterra, renovations across luxury hotels, and new high-end dining destinations like Amazonico and Marlow are all part of a broader strategy to maintain Monaco’s reputation as an exclusive, world-class destination.
With a focus on quality, innovation, and an unparalleled visitor experience, the DTC’s 2025 plan ensures Monaco remains like nowhere else.
