On March 8, in recognition of International Women’s Rights Day, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlène took part in a first aid awareness workshop organized by the Monegasque Red Cross, in collaboration with Entreparents and Femmes Leaders Mondiales Monaco…

A long-time advocate for emergency preparedness, Princess Charlène has consistently worked to make first aid training accessible to all, emphasizing its importance—especially for women, who are often primary caregivers within their families. This initiative aligns with her lifelong commitment to safety and prevention, a focus deeply embedded in her Princess Charlène of Monaco Foundation, which runs anti-drowning programs that emphasize life-saving techniques. As a Goodwill Ambassador for the Red Cross, she continues to champion efforts that protect and save lives.

During the workshop, participants were trained in essential first aid techniques, covering emergency interventions for infants, children, and adults. Special emphasis was placed on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and choking prevention, two crucial skills in both everyday emergencies and aquatic environments, where rapid response can mean the difference between life and death.

Beyond the workshop, Princess Charlène explored various awareness activities hosted at the Espace Léo Ferré, where she was joined by Isabelle Berro-Amadei, Acting Minister of State, and Céline Cottalorda, Interministerial Delegate for Women’s Rights.

Through her foundation and advocacy work, Princess Charlène continues to reinforce the importance of first aid training, ensuring that life-saving knowledge is shared widely, particularly among those most likely to face emergency situations in daily life.
