2024 was a landmark year for Monaco’s real estate market, with record-breaking transactions and an ever-increasing demand for luxury properties…

The latest findings from the 2024 Real Estate Observatory, published by IMSEE, confirm that Monaco remains one of the most desirable and lucrative places to invest in property. With robust sales, rising values, and promising prospects, now is the ideal time to buy in the Principality.

Surging demand and record-breaking transactions

Monaco’s real estate market saw a remarkable 12% increase in total transactions in 2024, translating to 50 more apartments sold compared to the previous year. This growth is largely driven by the delivery of the highly anticipated Mareterra development, a project that has attracted high-net-worth buyers seeking modern luxury in a prime location.

Additionally, new apartment sales reached an all-time high, with 101 transactions recorded—an unprecedented milestone. The demand for newly developed properties continues to soar, as buyers favour state-of-the-art designs, high-end finishes, and energy-efficient features.

A market that remains resilient and profitable

Despite a minor 5.9% decline in the resale market, Monaco’s real estate sector remains dynamic and profitable. The total value of transactions reached an astonishing €5.9 billion, marking an 80% increase from 2023. Luxury properties continue to command top prices, with the average price per square meter climbing to €51,967—up 1.1% from the previous year. In prime areas such as Carré d’Or and Larvotto, prices have soared to an incredible €97,563 per square meter, further cementing Monaco’s position as one of the world’s most exclusive real estate markets.

Why now is the best time to invest

Experts predict continued growth in 2025 and beyond, fuelled by ongoing urban developments and sustained demand. Future infrastructure projects will expand investment opportunities, ensuring Monaco remains at the forefront of the luxury real estate sector. For investors seeking stability, exclusivity, and long-term profitability, buying in Monaco has never been a more attractive prospect.
