In anticipation of the forthcoming Monaco E-Prix and Formula 1 TAG Heuer Grand Prix de Monaco, scheduled for Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4, and Thursday, May 22 to Sunday, May 25, respectively, the Department of Urban Development has commenced its annual road resurfacing programme. This year’s initiative focuses on sections of the Grand Prix circuit and other key urban areas throughout the principality.

To minimise disruption to traffic flow and parking, the roadworks will be carried out exclusively overnight between 20:00 and 06:00, concluding on 14th March. The project will cover the following areas according to the provided schedule:

  • Darse Sud: Night of Wednesday, 26th February.
  • Boulevard Albert Ier (Pit Lane Entry/Exit): Nights of Monday, 3rd March and Thursday, 6th March.
  • Virage Noghès (Turn): Night of Wednesday, 26th February.
  • Avenue Saint Charles: Night of Thursday, 27th February.

Bus routes affected by the overnight works will be diverted between 20:00 and 06:00. Commuters are advised to check the CAM website for updated route information. Emergency services and police will have access to all work zones at all times.

In addition to informing local residents, authorities are taking particular care to minimise inconvenience for users of private and public car parks and businesses. Road signage will be adjusted accordingly, and any pedestrian diversions will be clearly marked.
