Located in the heart of the Pasteur block, this modern facility will combine  innovation and culture, with free access for all and an auditorium dedicated  to cultural events…

Initially scheduled to open earlier this year, the new Caroline multimedia  library is scheduled to open at the end of 2025, in the heart of the Ilot Pasteur.  Named in homage to Princess Caroline of Hanover, the new media library is  eagerly awaited by the people of Monaco.

‘We’ve been saying for 20 years that there’s going to be a new media library, but  now, finally, in less than two years‘ time, it’s going to open its doors’, announced  Camille Svara, a local councillor, in 2023. So what does this new facility promise?

 A new cultural space

This media library, spread over three levels, will bring together the video library,  games library, sound library, Louis Notari library and Princess Caroline library,  which are currently located in different parts of the city. A significant change for  access to culture in Monaco.

But the major change in this move is the auditorium, which will host workshops  and conferences.

It should be noted that the Town Hall has also agreed to provide free media library  membership for everyone from 1 January 2025.
