The festive season in Monaco brings culinary treasures to the forefront, and this year, the Pavillon Monte Carlo, helmed by chef Yannick Alléno, is showcasing one of the most coveted gastronomic gems: the black truffle…
From December 16 to 22, the restaurant will host a special Truffle Week, featuring an exquisite menu that celebrates the earthy richness of the Périgord black diamond.
Chef Alléno’s six-course menu transforms the truffle into a versatile star, exploring its depth of flavour in bold and creative ways. Diners will indulge in delicacies such as duck foie gras with quince jelly, scallop ravioli topped with medallions of truffle, and Brillat-Savarin cheese infused with truffle. Even dessert gets a truffle twist, with a bold creation of truffle-infused ice cream paired with dark chocolate ganache, showcasing the chef’s innovative flair.
“Our menu is designed to bring out the essence of the black truffle, whether grated raw, infused in sauces or mascarpone, or served as a sweet delight,” the chef shared. This seasonal delicacy not only adds unparalleled flavour but also reflects the artistry and precision of the Pavillon Monte Carlo’s culinary team.
Presented in its full glory, the truffles are showcased to diners as part of the immersive experience. The black truffle is a hallmark of winter gastronomy, celebrated for its intense aroma and luxurious taste that pairs perfectly with seasonal wines.
Truffle enthusiasts can savour this exceptional menu for €240 per person. Whether you’re a seasoned gourmet or a curious epicurean, this week-long celebration promises to be a feast for the senses, bringing a touch of culinary magic to the holiday season in Monaco.
