The Monegasque government has launched an open call for registration in the Register of Economic Operators, a step allowing businesses to participate in state public procurement opportunities.

Uniquely, the announcement was made through Monaco’s official Facebook page, marking a shift from traditional press-based communications.

The Directorate of Public Works outlined that registration is open to all economic operators, local and international, with expertise in construction and public works. The registry aims to categorize each operator based on their ties to the Principality and their potential involvement with specific government bodies, each with its own consultation limit.

Businesses wishing to apply must provide extensive documentation, detailing administrative information, experience, financial and technical capabilities, and a record of past work quality. Application materials are available both online and by post. Monaco-based companies can access the dossier at Monaco registration link, while international firms can refer to international registration link. Completed applications, including all necessary documents, must be submitted by December 20, 2024.

A hybrid digital-paper application process has been established, although the lack of a fully digital submission process is notable given Monaco’s recent push for bureaucratic modernization. This call for applications reflects a significant opportunity for companies to secure contracts with the Monegasque government, as it seeks to expand transparency and access in public procurement.
