Traders of the Condamine Market Hall gathered at Monaco’s Town Hall on Tuesday, October 8 for a key meeting about the upcoming redevelopment of the market. The session, led by Mayor Georges Marsan, included Deputy Mayor Marjorie Crovetto, other municipal officials, and consultants. The focus was to update traders on plans for a complete market revamp, set to take place in 2026, with technical studies starting in 2025 and completion targeted for February 2027.
Mayor Marsan emphasised the importance of the project, calling it a “flagship initiative” aimed at transforming the market into a modern hub for Monaco. He stressed the need for collective input, highlighting the current era of dialogue compared to previous market updates in 1992 and 2012.
Key topics included technical upgrades, architectural improvements, and plans for the temporary relocation of market cabins during construction to ensure business continuity. Traders were given the chance to ask questions, receive clarifications, and provide input through questionnaires. A customer feedback form will also be introduced, allowing the public to weigh in on the market’s future.
In the coming weeks, traders will have one-on-one meetings to address individual concerns, ensuring a smooth transition through the redevelopment process.
