From September 29 to October 3, the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) led a successful trade mission to Warsaw, accompanied by 18 Monegasque business leaders. Organized in partnership with the Monegasque Embassy in Poland, the event provided a platform for Monaco’s entrepreneurs to explore Poland’s dynamic business ecosystem and establish valuable connections.

The mission kicked off with a visit to the Polish Chamber of Commerce, where the MEB delegation engaged with around thirty Polish companies eager to learn more about the Principality’s economic landscape. After a series of presentations on the current economic outlook of both countries, discussions revealed a shared enthusiasm for collaboration and growth. The meeting culminated in the signing of an agreement between the chambers of commerce by Guillaume Rose, CEO of the MEB, and Michał Krawczyk, Vice-President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce, with Monaco’s Ambassador to Poland, Germany, and Austria, H.E. Mr Lorenzo Ravano, in attendance.

This newly signed agreement marks the beginning of a closer relationship between Monaco and Poland, setting the stage for future cooperation. The networking session that followed allowed both parties to explore Poland’s impressive economic growth, which has experienced nearly three decades of uninterrupted development. Poland’s GDP per capita is now approaching that of Spain, a testament to its thriving economy.

Day two featured a captivating marketing case study of Wisniewski liqueur, a family-owned business that has become a national sensation through innovative branding and product positioning. This success story provided valuable insights into effective marketing strategies for MEB members.

The delegation also attended a presentation by Andrzej Szumowski, Director of External Relations, alongside two promising young entrepreneurs from Warsaw. They discussed the numerous benefits of the Polish business environment and its resilience amidst the challenges posed by geopolitical tensions and the war on its borders. The discussion prompted an engaging debate on Poland’s strategic approach to economic development.

At the invitation of Mr. Tomasz Wardinski, Consul of Monaco in Poland, and with support from Mr. Alessandro Giuliani, Consul of Poland in Monaco, the delegation had the chance to meet with members of Corporate Connections, a prestigious association of wealthy entrepreneurs. This interaction could pave the way for further engagements, including bringing the organization to Monaco for future events.

The mission concluded with a networking cocktail hosted by the Embassy of Monaco in Poland, providing a final opportunity to strengthen the partnerships and friendships formed during this productive visit. The connections made and insights gained have laid a strong foundation for continued economic collaboration between Monaco and Poland.
