This October, the Médiathèque offers a packed schedule of exciting events for all.

The Médiathèque de Monaco stands out as a hub of cultural activity, offering far more than just books. It is a multifunctional space where literature, cinema, music, and art converge, making it a haven for both young and old. Visitors can immerse themselves in a wide variety of cultural experiences, from literary discoveries to cinematic journeys, and musical treasures. The José Notari Sound Library, for instance, provides an eclectic range of sounds, while the video library boasts an extensive collection of films and documentaries. Free Wi-Fi, computers, headphones, and even a projection room are available to enhance the visitor’s experience.

The autumn program kicks off on Monday, October 7, with a meeting and book signing featuring the authors shortlisted for the Discovery Grant, in collaboration with the Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation. Literature lovers won’t want to miss this opportunity to meet new voices in the literary world.

On Tuesday, October 15, Ambre Pietri will host an evening of literature, storytelling, theater, and music. Her artistic talents will guide attendees through a “bubble” of imaginative narration, offering a truly immersive experience.

Visual art enthusiasts are in for a treat on Friday, October 18, with Céline Marin’s exhibition launch, “There Are Flowers Everywhere for Those Who Want to See Them.” Drawing inspiration from local archives, her artwork evokes the nostalgia of the Côte d’Azur from 1860 to 1940.

For those who enjoy hands-on creativity, Marin will also lead an intergenerational workshop on Saturday, October 19, inviting participants to create collages from historical documents.

The month concludes with a Halloween-themed manga and games afternoon on Tuesday, October 29, followed by a conference on Francis Bacon’s engraving practice later that evening.

This October promises to be full of rich, varied cultural experiences at the Médiathèque de Monaco. All events are free and open to the public, ensuring everyone has access to this vibrant cultural hub.
