The Salon International du Livre de Monaco is set to return to the Grimaldi Forum on Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8, bringing with it a vibrant program of events and a prestigious lineup of literary figures. This year’s edition, the 13th in its history, is expected to be the largest yet, featuring over 140 local and internationally acclaimed authors who will share their insights and passion for the written word with attendees.

Under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert, who is committed to promoting literary arts within Monaco and encouraging reading among the public, the book fair will spotlight Gilles Kepel, a prominent French political scientist and specialist in Middle Eastern affairs, as the Guest of Honour. The event will also see participation from around 20 members of the Rencontre des Auteurs Francophones network, enhancing its international flavour.

Organized by Rencontres Littéraires’ Fabian Boisson, the fair promises an “eclectic and effervescent program,” with a series of conferences, discussions, and interactive “literary cafés” that invite both guest speakers and the audience to engage in lively debates. Jean-Louis Debré, a former French Minister of the Interior and noted author, serves as the patron of the 2024 edition. Debré has recently gained acclaim with his book ‘Je tape la manche‘, which has sold over 40,000 copies.

The two-day event will run from 10:00 to 18:00, with free entry for all attendees, offering book lovers a chance to connect with writers and immerse themselves in the rich world of literature. For more details, visit the official website.
