While Xiaoxin Yang’s journey ended in the round of 32 of the table tennis tournament after a defeat by Czech player Hana Matelova. Théo Druenne finished seventh in his 800-meter freestyle heat. The remaining representatives of Monaco, Marvin Gadeau and Marie-Charlotte Gastaud’s showcased their individual talents on Friday, August 2.

Gadeau expressed his readiness and optimism ahead of his judo match in the over 100kg category against Cuban Andy Granda, the 2022 world champion. “I feel good. The preparation and the last training sessions went well. I managed to recover since my arrival here in Paris, a little over a week ago,” Gadeau shared. However, he was eliminated by his Cuban counterpart.

Gastaud competed in the 100m preliminaries (series 4) at the Stade de France, but crossed the line in sixth place with a time of 12.41 seconds.
