HSH Prince Albert had the honour of presenting the rowing medals at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on Friday, continuing a family legacy in the sport. This event was particularly significant as it marked 100 years since his maternal grandfather, John B. Kelly, won his third Olympic gold medal in rowing.

On the same day, Monegasque rower Quentin Antognelli competed in his final race. Antognelli, representing Monaco in the D final, aimed to secure his ranking between 19th and 24th place. His participation added to Monaco’s presence at the Games and highlighted the country’s ongoing commitment to nurturing athletic talent.

Prince Albert awarded the gold medals in the double sculls event to Romanian rowers AS Cornea and M. Enache, who delivered a stellar performance. The silver medals went to the Dutch duo M. Twellaar and S. Broenink, who finished just ahead of the Irish team of D. Lynch and P. Doyle, who took home the bronze.
