In the presence of HE Mr Pierre Dartout, Minister of State and Mr Pierre-André Chiappori, Minister of Finance and Economy, the head of the Department of Tourism and Conventions (DTC) recently met representatives of the Monegasque tourism sector at the Grimaldi Forum.

The year 2023 was a great year and ended with an occupancy rate in hotels across the Principality by 57 percent, up one point compared to 2022. The average price increased by 3.5 percent to reach the record value of €474 excluding tax.

If the summer was driven by customers from the United States and the Middle East, the annual TOP 3 also changed with the entry of the USA into second place behind France and ahead of Italy, pushing the United Kingdom into fourth place.

Mr Guy Antognelli, Director of Tourism and Conventions, said that the DTC intends to further intensify its marketing in the most buoyant markets.

In addition to an initiative dedicated to responsible tourism, the “LIKE NOWHERE ELSE” campaign will still be at the centre of an ambitious deployment plan, notably with airlines such as Air France, United Airlines, Lufthansa, China Airlines and British Airways.
