The Department of Social Affairs and Health and the Building Employers’ Chamber have signed an agreement aimed at supporting the activities of the Caisse de Formation du Bâtiment (Construction Training Office).

A model of prosperity in the Principality, the construction professions offer real opportunities, jobs and careers at all levels of qualification and responsibility, the Government says.

Health and Social Affairs Minister Christophe Robino received members of the Employers’ Chamber of Construction who handed over the first training catalogue developed by the newly created Caisse de Formation du Bâtiment.

Training is planned in all-important first aid and work safety, but also on the use of software specific to the profession. A grant has been paid by the Prince’s Government to encourage this initiative. Christophe Robino said: “Employee training is the future. I am convinced that it is necessary to develop professional training as a long-term investment. The Training Fund du Bâtiment is a good initiative to promote employment in the Principality.”

Fabien Deplanche, President of the Employers’ Chamber of Construction, added: “We are convinced that investment in training will consolidate the foundation on which the excellence of our professions rests, while contributing to the construction of a solid and prosperous future for all, by partnership with youth! Capitalizing on training is, without a doubt, a strategic vision.
