Monaco’s Minister of Foreign Relations Isabelle Berro-Amadei presented her New Year wishes to the Diplomatic Corps accredited in the Principality and in residence in France on Thursday January 18, in Paris.
The ceremony, which took place at the Shangri-La hotel, brought together diplomatic representatives from more than 90 countries, invited by Her Excellency Mrs. Valérie Bruell-Melchior, new Ambassador-designate from Monaco to France. “Faced with the challenges generated by the exacerbation of conflicts, Monaco continues to reaffirm its commitment to a world where cooperation takes precedence over confrontation, where dialogue replaces mistrust, and where international solidarity guides our actions,” Isabelle Berro-Amadei told assembled diplomats.
The Minister added that 2024 will mark 20 years since the Principality joined the Council of Europe as well as the 75th anniversary of its admission to UNESCO. Finally, she confirmed that “Monaco will endeavour to maintain a privileged partnership with European institutions despite the suspension of negotiations for an Association Agreement.”
