Young Monegasque leatherworker Nicolas Grinda has launched the Leather School, an online leather training platform.
Five weeks after its launch, the Leather School has more than 250 students from more than 30 different countries.
The online platform is available in French, English and Spanish. Students first learn the basics of leather goods, such as saddle stitching, edge-dyeing and even hot stamping. All the tutorials include a section with a list of all necessary materials, downloadable templates and many other resources.
The Leather School is part of a new trend of returning to manual activities – pottery, wood, sewing, leather goods etc. Atelier Grinda was founded in the Principality by Nicolas Grinda in 2020.
The Ecole du Cuir is a trilingual platform (French, Spanish, English) for training in artisanal leather work founded by Nicolas Grinda. By providing video tutorials, of templates and the definition of a personalised and fun learning path, the School of Leather teaches the basics of leatherwork. Accessible by subscription, with an offer launch price of €89 for three months of access to courses, the Ecole du Cuir already has more than 250 student subscribers just five weeks after its launch.
