As widely expected, Prince Albert’s former property and family office manager has failed in a legal attempt to overturn his dismissal.
Monaco’s Supreme Court threw out the case brought by Claude Palmero on the grounds that it did not have jurisdiction in matters pertaining to the person of the Sovereign Prince.
No appeal is possible. Having made its crucial decision on jurisdiction, the claim by Mr Palmaro for one million euros also fell by the wayside.
Mr Palmero’s abrupt dismissal took place at the same time as two other high profile departures in the wake of the publication of allegations of serial wrongdoing at the very summit of the Palace administration. He had been appointed by Prince Rainier.
