A video posted on Instagram depicting F1 champion Max Verstappen has attracted a lot of attention, with more than 1.5 million views in less than 24 hours.

The Monaco resident is seen at the wheel of an Aston Martin Valkyrie on the Nice-Nord section of the A8 autoroute, apparently heading towards Monaco.

According to reports, the video was filmed by Mark Cox, a personal trainer and a friend of Verstappen.

However, the car’s speed climbs to 124 kph in the Canta-Galet tunnel, where the speed limit is 90 kph. Needless to say, while some of the social media comments are congratulatory, there is also a great deal of criticism for the driver’s behaviour.

The largely carbon fibre hypercar costs 2.7 million euros.
