A new French Ambassador has taken up his post. Jean D’Haussonville replaced Laurent Stefanini, who was in post for four years, on August 1.
D’Haussonville previously worked for the French State as Administrator of the Chambord Estate, the largest enclosed forest park in Europe, centred on the Chateau of the same name in the Loire valley. According to reports, D’Haussonville had harboured ambitions of taking over as Administrator at Versailles.
Mr D’Haussonville is the eighth French Ambassador accredited to Monaco.
