A 34 year-old man illegally resident in France was arrested in the early hours of Monday, July 17, after setting fire to a French tricolour and throwing it against the doors of the Beausoleil police station.
He also shouted pro-islamist slogans as well as outraging the flag.
Following his arrest the culprit was transferred to a psychiatric hospital in Nice.
