Nicolas Orlowski, the president of John Taylor real estate brokerage, has announced the sale of a property in Monaco for a record price for the company. He said that due to a confidentiality clause, he could not specify the amount beyond saying that the price was in nine figures, between 100 million and one billion euros and was the highest price the company had aver achieved in the Principality.

Orlowski, who also presides over Artcurial auction house, has in the past quoted Confucius, his favourite philosopher, saying: “Silence is a friend that never betrays.”

When Artcurial took over John Taylor, in 2017, the company said that it was a natural development of its international position in the sale of exceptional articles.

John Taylor opened in 1864 in Cannes, and from 1996 was owned by the Pastor family and led by Delphine Pastor. The sales price was not specified. Michel Pastor was a shareholder in Artcurial until his death in 2014.

John Taylor operates with the slogan: “More than 150 years of tailoring your dreams.”

Artcurial is part of the Dassault Group, which, apart from its aerospace interests, owns the respected French daily le Figaro.
