The 12th Scientific Council for Statistics and Economic Studies has met by video conference to assess the work of Monaco’s Statistical Office over the last year.

The Council plays an advisory role to the Minister of State.

Sophie Vincent, Director, presented the studies carried out during the year in addition to the usual publications, the pace of which has been maintained notwithstanding the coronavirus crisis.

Indeed, the pandemic has created additional tasks for IMSEE as it fulfils its role in support of Government services.

A key part of the agency’s work has been the collection of data on issues of primary importance to women, including violence in the home and wage disparities.

The international dimension of IMSEE’s work is to ensure that Monaco’s statistics are available internationally, while the relationship with EUROSTAT leads to a cross-fertilisation of methodologies.

All IMSEE publications are available on the imsee.mc website and can be downloaded free of charge.
