Three building workers were injured on Wednesday evening when a hydraulic pipe separated from its housing on the Pasteur island construction site on ave. de Fontvieille at the western side of Monaco.
Air and sand were ejected at very high pressure, not only injuring the workers but breaking the windows of a passing bus. Nineteen firefighters and a doctor treated the injured at the scene.
Two of the victims were rushed to Princess Grace Hospital, while the third was taken with a police escort to the Nice University Hospital.
