Three more coronavirus cases were reported by the Monegasque health authorities on Thursday evening, bringing the total number of new cases so far this week to 11.

A total of 13 patients with milder symptoms are recovering at home under the supervision of the medical authorities. Only three people are currently in hospital.

Once again, it should be noted that not all those tested or hospitalised in Monaco are resident in the Principality.

In the meantime, 2,669 new cases were reported in France on Thursday, continuing a recent upward trend, but only 17 deaths.

There was speculation in the UK media on Thursday that the UK could soon reintroduce quarantine requirements for travellers from France, with PM Boris Johnson saying that the government will be “absolutely ruthless” in making its decision.
