Three new positive cases of coronavirus were reported in the Principality on Wednesday, August 12, taking the total since the start of the outbreak to 141 and to eight so far this week. One of the infected people has been hospitalised at the CHPG.
Two patients left the hospital, reducing the total to four in-patients. The total number of people healed since the start of the outbreak now stands at 114.
As of Wednesday evening, eleven patients are under the supervision of the Home Monitoring Centre while they recover at home. It should be noted that the people tested and hospitalised in Monaco are not all residents of the Principality.
Putting the local coronavirus outbreak in context, there has been one death of a resident since the start of the outbreak. Most recent infections have been contracted outside the Principality and most cases have resulted in home isolation rather than hospital admission.
Meanwhile on Wednesday, 17 new deaths were reported in France, despite a rise in infections, 10 in Italy, three in Spain (August 11), and 77 in the UK.
