With more than three billion people confined to their homes, aircraft pinned to the ground and many airports closed, tourism activity around the world has come to a halt. The Principality of Monaco is also severely impacted by the coronavirus crisis.
With the tourism industry on a break, the Directorate of Tourism and Congresses has decided to keep in touch with all lovers of travel, those who already frequent “Destination Monaco” and those who want to come and enjoy themselves after the crisis. The Tourism Office is launching a new communications campaign to tell them how much they are missed in Monaco.
The usual slogan “FOR YOU”, the invitation to take advantage of the Principality’s tourist assets, has evolved into a declaration of affection centred on people. We are currently living in complicated times, faced with confinement and the absence of one of the most precious of things, the social bond, the Office said.
“The message has become “MISS YOU”, accompanied by tender and intimate messages supported by images that have become precious and that we look forward to sharing again. They show slices of life of people spending moments together in Monaco, moments that we hope will become our and your daily lives again,” the Tourism Office said.
The campaign will be relayed by the 10 Monegasque tourism promotion offices operating in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Oceania, and will be deployed on social networks but also in digital editions, media websites, and travel magazines.
