Restrictions on movement introduced in France, and soon in Monaco, require everyone to be armed with a document citing the reason for being on the streets. In France this consists of a single sheet that can be signed and dated and the ticking of one or four boxes. The forces of law and order will be demanding to see these documents and fines will be imposed if the person doesn’t have one. The initial penalty in France is an on the spot fine of 35 euros.
Monaco is likely to introduce a similar system on Wednesday or Thursday. Watch this space.
