Monaco Yacht Club will soon have its first zero emission committee boat. An official presentation of the futuristic project took place at the Monaco Yacht Cub over the weekend of the sixth Monaco Solar and Energy Boat Challenge, on July 6 and 7, in the presence of the club’s president, HSH Prince Albert.

To be constructed in aluminium, the vessel will be 11.5 metres in length and will have a capacity for 12 passengers. When not being used by the club for its own competitive events, the boat can also be used for whale-watching trips.
Primarily powered by solar panels, and designed by Espen Oeino and engineered by Dario Calzavara, the boat will have a range of three hours and an impressive maximum speed of 17 knots. The delivery date is next year. Designed by Espen Oino and engineering by Dario Calzavara.
